His longest journey to date led Ernst Hartig to Asia: to Japan, Taiwan, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. It is a journey of contrasts, a journey into the unspoilt and untouched nature and way of life of the indigenous peoples and into the world of the cities of Taipei and Manila with populations of millions.
